Navigating the outdoors in formal wear is always something we need to consider. This is especially true when it comes to what shoes to wear. Consider using your website or informing your guests of the appropriate footwear for the outdoor location. Grass means heels will sink and sand means closed toes are a no go. So keep those things in mind when inviting your guests.

Check the Time

Indoor ceremonies and receptions often happen within the time allotted by the venue itself. Many times outdoor weddings don’t have those same time restrictions (this is venue dependent of course). But, just like Cinderella your guests expire after a certain amount of time. So if you’re planning an outdoor ceremony and reception in the same location consider the comfort of guests and what you will be filling their time with. By pushing the start time closer to the evening and making sure that you stay on top of your picture time, guests will likely stay around longer and enjoy the compact timeline.
